Position: Senior Controls/Electrical Engineer
Location: Crystal Lake, IL
Type: Full-time - Direct Hire - $95,000-$112,000 per year depending on experience
Job Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in electrical engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in programming Siemens systems.
- Proven expertise in selecting and configuring Siemens Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Proficiency in creating and modifying AutoCAD electrical drawings for industrial control systems.
- Preferred 1-3 yearsβ experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating a deep understanding of industrial processes and challenges.
- Strong ability to read, design, and troubleshoot electrical schematic diagrams.
- Solid understanding of PCB design, electrical systems, and firmware development.
- Experience in electronics and embedded systems production-level design.
- Proficiency in using, programming, and troubleshooting common industrial sensors and controls, as well as multimeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced industrial control systems, ensuring their efficiency, reliability, and functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Program and configure Siemens systems to meet project specifications and optimize performance.
- Utilize your AutoCAD proficiency to create and modify electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
- Bring your manufacturing environment experience to contribute to seamless integration and operation of control systems within the production process.
- Apply your in-depth understanding of electrical schematic diagrams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently.
- Design and develop PCBs and embedded systems for production-level applications, adhering to industry best practices.
- Utilize your expertise in industrial sensors and controls to select, implement, and troubleshoot these components effectively.
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team to drive innovation, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure continuous advancement of our products and processes.
