TAP is seeking to hire a Junior Electronics Engineering Lab Assistant to join our team.

The Junior Electronics Engineering Lab Assistant will work in a microelectronics laboratory and manufacturing facility supporting critical national security efforts. The ideal candidate is able to support hands-on electronics manufacturing and processing tasks under the guidance of expert mentorship and in collaboration with a large, multi-disciplinary team consisting of electronics hardware and software experts (electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, materials scientists, chemists, physicists, computer scientists).

Required Qualifications (Need to Have’s):

  • Active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Any Field (will consider candidates that are near-completion)
  • 5 Years of Experience
  • Patient, detailed, and willing to learn/follow good safety practices
  • Communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications (Nice to Have’s):

  • Background in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Physics, Failure Analysis, Chemistry, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific field
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic systems or electronic components
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment
  • Experience processing microelectronic components and semiconductor materials using techniques and systems including any of:
  • Mechanical grinding and polishing
  • Wet chemical processing
  • Reactive plasma etching
  • Thin film deposition
  • Ion beam milling or sputtering
  • Experience using microscopy (i.e. optical microscopes, scanning electron microscopes)
  • Experience operating or programming automated equipment
  • Knowledge of electronic packaging, integrated circuits (ICs), failure analysis techniques, and semiconductor fabrication
  • Technical writing skills

**This position is contingent upon the successful completion of security processing and favorable acceptance onto the program by the Customer.**

Clearance Requirement: This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of full scope polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Favorable Criminal History Check
  • Education Verification
  • Abuse/Illegal Drug Use
  • Credit Check
  • Subject Interview
