Job Summary:
- Manage and develop the engineering team.
- Take ownership of the process from quotation stage to delivery.
- Evaluate and improve processes to achieve market leading lead times.
- Close cooperation with material planning and production planning to ensure deliveries have a high on-time delivery.
- Provide timely and accurate technical support to assembly.
- Establish local vendors to reduce stock, manage costs, and improve lead times.
- Support the Service and Aftermarket team in analyzing service cases.
- Implement process to ensure timely quotations and timely technical customer and sales support.
- Support the Production Supervisor to continuously reevaluate and plan to ensure sufficient capabilities and capacities exist to grow the business for production, service, and support.
- Report monthly sales, bookings, quotes, on-time delivery, overall lead time, and other process performance measurements.
- Identify market trends and analyze competitors (portfolio, strengths, and weaknesses).
- Identify markets and applications with growth potential.
- Development of an engineering/drafting function that quickly provides accurate technical assistance, drawings, and order entry assistance when needed.
- Create processes and controls to ensure that all policies are implemented and enforced.
- Conduct direct customer and sales calls.
- Maintain a high level of ethics in customer dealings and protect the interests of the company in any dealings and transactions entered.
- Train and mentor team members and supporting staff.
- Conduct performance reviews for team members.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 4 Year Engineering Degree (Preferred: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering)
- About a minimum of 5 years of applicable industry experience. 3 to 5 years of management experience is also preferred and a high level of understanding of industrial gearboxes.
